World Crafts Council (WCC)
Founded in 1964, the World Crafts Council (WCC) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization. Its purpose is to strengthen the status of crafts as a vital part of cultural and economic life, to promote fellowship among the craftspeople of the world and to offer them encouragement, help and advice.
United States - The Crafts Center - Washington
The Crafts Center is an international, non-profit organization which is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income artisans by increasing their access to markets and resources.
United States - American Craft Council
The American Craft Council is a national, nonprofit educational organization dedicated to fostering an environment in which craft is understood and valued. Founded by Aileen Osborn Webb in 1943, the Council has a distinguished history of innovative programming that has provided a vital base for the emergence of the contemporary craft movement in the United States in the decades since the Second World War.

Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG)

United Kingdom - The Crafts Council
The Crafts Council is the UK’s national organisation for the promotion of contemporary crafts. Established in 1971, we are an independent body funded by the Arts Council of England, responsible for promoting fine craftsmanship, encouraging high standards and increasing public awareness of contemporary crafts and applied arts.

Guild of Book Workers
The Guild of Book Workers is the national non-profit organization for all the book arts. It was founded in 1906 and since that time, especially in the last 20 years, has grown immensely in scope. The Guild currently has over 1000 members worldwide. Areas of interest include bookbinding, printing, conservation, marbling, calligraphy, and papermaking.
Glass Arts Society
The Glass Art Society's members are glass artists, students, educators, collectors, gallery owners, museum personnel, writers and critics, manufacturers/suppliers - anyone interested in glass art. The Glass Furnace
Istanbul's Glass Furnace is a new center for artistic creativity in glass and an experimental production facility offering a series of educational programs year-round. Production has started in the spring of 2002.
Urban Glass
UrbanGlass is a not-for-profit international center for the creation and appreciation of new art, design, craft, and architecture made from glass. Founded in 1977 UrbanGlass was the first artist-access glass center in the world and is now the largest. Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild
THE CANADIAN BOOKBINDERS AND BOOK ARTISTS GUILD (CBBAG: - we pronounce it cabbage) was founded in 1983 in Toronto, Ontario by a group of professionals and amateurs from all quarters of the book arts: bookbinders, calligraphers, paper makers, letterpress printers, paper marblers, and book artists, as well as archivists and conservators. Membership, currently about 500, is open to all those around the world who share our interests and support these goals: To create a spirit of community among hand workers in the book arts and those who love books; To promote greater public awareness of the book arts; To increase educational opportunities and foster excellence through exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and publications.
Artists in Stained Glass
Artists in Stained Glass (AISG) is a non-profit association of artists, craftspersons, architects, and others, who are interested in the development and promotion of stained glass as a contemporary art form in Canada. Ontario Hooking Craft Guild
The Ontario Hooking Craft Guild is an organization devoted to fostering excellence of craftsmanship in traditional and contemporary rug hooking. The guild provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information for its members in co-operation with other craft guilds. Proud to have over 900 members, the OHCG has grown beyond Ontario with participants in Quebec, Nova Scotia and the United States. Vancouver Guild of Fibre Arts
Formed in October 1970, the Guild's principle goals are to encourage learning, provide structure, raise awareness and promote the fibre arts and the study of textile arts. Harbourfront Centre Craft
See professional craftspeople work in ceramics, glass, metal and textiles. Operating 11 months of the year (February to December) in full view of the public, the Craft Studio is a unique Canadian institution that assists emerging craftspeople to establish professional careers while at the same time exposing the public to the world of contemporary craft. These two goals are accomplished through residencies, exhibitions, workshops, lectures and classes.
The Cultural Human Resources Council
CHRC is based on a very simple premise: that the fundamental resource of Canadian culture is its people, with all their distinctive characteristics. Its mission is "to initiate, coordinate and promote human resources planning, management, development and training in the cultural sector". With the aid of its partners and the generous support of Heritage Canada, Historica presents this site free of charge to all Canadians and to interested users around the world. The site contains the complete text of the acclaimed Canadian Encyclopedia in English and French, the text of the Junior Encyclopedia of Canada (in English only), numerous interactivities, feature articles, games, the Canucklehead Quiz, and an extensive timeline of Canadian and world events. The entire text can be searched via the simple search or advanced search and the user can switch languages at any time.
